Located in the Heart of the Loire Valley 'Domaine de la Paleine' For over a century the Domaine de la Paleine has been producing wines from Saumur in Le Puy Notre Dame.  Five years ago, Laurence & Marc Vincent, fell in love with the Loire Valley and took over the running of the estate.   The wine cellars run for 2 kms beneath the easy-draining limestone soil and maintain a constant temperature of 12° making them an ideal location to lay down more than 100,000 bottles of vintage wines from the AOC appellation of Saumur.

The Vines The chenin blanc and cabernet Franc grape vines make up the majority of the 32 hectares of the vineyard.  Leaving grass to grow in between the vines encourages her roots to grow deep into this limstone soil, exceptional chalky the soil acts as a sponge retaining surplus water. A natural reservoir during the hot summer months the vine is able to feed her growing fruits.  It is this action that gives the wines of Domaine de la Paleine their unique character: full bodied, yet subtle and fruity.
