London life, a stressful job and a much needed break took me to the Loire Valley for the first time...it was a coup de foudre and within five months I had returned to develop our chambre d'hôte/gîte enterprise.
With a profond passion for la France - the food, the wine, the language and the lifestyle - it is my aim to ensure you, our guests, experience a true taste of French life during your stay chez la famille Beaumont.
Gérald
From an ancien Angevin vigneron family Géralds first childhood memory is on his Grandfathers vineyard learning what 'being' a wine maker involved.
After 10 years in England Gérald returned to Paris where he successfully opened a 'cave à vin'/'bar à vin' which received an annual reference in the Top 10 'cave à vin'/'bar à vin' to visit in Paris.
Today Gérald represents Domaine de la Paleine, a highly referenced vignoble, vineyard, growing in recognition throughout France, UK and Europe.
Passionate and knowledgable about his industry Gérald is increasingly recognised in his field and frequently finds himself invited to the UK, Ireland and Europe to speak at wine tasting events organised by Michelin starred restaurants and renowned hotels.
Augustin
February 2008 saw the arrival of our son, Augustin.
Constance
September 2009 saw the latest edition to the Beaumont family, our daughter, Constance.
