September
The Wine Market, Saumur
If your stay in the Loire Valley is during September, I highly recommend adding the Wine Market, Saumur to your agenda. It is not only a great day out but also a superb opportunity to sample many of the Val de Loire wines.
For those residing at Annie's House during this weekend, we will provide you with personal invitations to the Wine Market and the opportunity to enjoy a dégustation in a seated area.
An entrance fee of 3€ (2007) includes an attractive glass to sample the wines from, plus it's yours to keep as a souvenir. A day of dégustion awaits! Take a peek at our photographs.

October
Fête des Vendanges, Montmarte, Paris
Montmarte is home to France's oldest vines and each year the 'harvest' is celebrated by Paris in the form of a huge 3 day street festival, an estimated 300,000 people visited on Saturday alone!
Vignerons and artisans from all over France are invited to share in the tradition of this celebration making the atmosphere feel like one big party. Gérald and I were there representing Domaine de la Paleine, take a look at our photographs to see what adventures we got up to.
If an exciting long weekend in Paris fits your agenda for October 2008, visit the Fête des Vendanges website for future dates.
