From an ancien Angevin (Angers) vigneron family, Géralds first childhood memory is one of life on his Grandfathers vineyard learning from an early age what life as a vigneron involved.
Lifes evolvement moved Gérald away from the vines and to England where he lived for 10 years before returning to France. Successfully opening a 'cave à vin'/'bar à vin', in Paris housing over 450 worldwide wines. Gérald enjoyed an annual reference in the Top 10 'cave à vin'/'bar à vin' to visit in Paris and many of his clients included France's celebrities, Parisien locals and tourists.
Retiring from city life, Gérald returned to the Loire Valley. Representing and marketing the wines from Domaine de la Paleine, a highly referenced vignoble, vineyard, growing in recognition in France, UK and Europe, and already found in a number of Relais & Chateaux restaurants and 'celeb' restaurants in London, Kent and Paris.
Passionate and knowledgable about his industry Gérald is increasingly recognised in his field and frequently finds himself invited to the UK, Ireland and Europe to speak at wine tasting events organised by Michelin starred restaurants, renowned and boutique hotels.
