Today Gérald is the patron of Bistrot Les Tontons our wine bar & bistrot set in the heart of Saumur.
From a long established Angevin wine making family, one of Gérald's first childhood memories is of his Grandparent's vineyard, standing along side his Grandfather, learning what becoming a wine maker involved.

Educational studies later took Gérald away from the Loire Valley to England where he gained a University degree, perfected his English and continued to work for ten years before returning to Paris to open his first wine bar and cave à vin. A successful venture which saw Gérald receive an annual reference in the Top 10 wine bars to visit in Paris.
Leaving the Parisian lifestyle behind Gérald returned to his roots in the Loire Valley. Passionate and knowledgable in his field, Gérald has become an increasingly recognised figure and is frequently invited to host wine tasting events at Michelin starred restaurants and reputed hotels throughout UK and Europe.
